Finding Your Place in Berlin’s Competitive Job Market
Despite the current economic challenges, Berlin remains one of the few regions in Germany where international jobseekers still have solid opportunities — especially in the STEM fields. While many companies across the country are hesitant to hire due to economic uncertainty, the demand for skilled professionals in mathematics, IT, natural sciences, and engineering (known as MINT in Germany) continues to exceed supply.
According to the 2025 MINT Spring Report, Berlin and Brandenburg stand out: around 86% of MINT positions in the region can be filled with qualified candidates — a much higher rate than in other parts of the country. This suggests a more dynamic job market for skilled applicants, especially in areas like energy and electrical engineering, IT, and construction.
However, competition remains strong, particularly for technical specialists and career changers. Those who prepare strategically and present themselves convincingly have a clear advantage.
That’s exactly where our seminar “How to Find a Job in Berlin” can make a difference.
