Let’s be realistic: finding a job in Berlin right now is a major challenge. While recent statistics show unemployment has remained nearly unchanged, the situation remains difficult. Unemployment in Berlin stands at 10.6% as of February 2026, with little sign of significant economic recovery on the horizon.

Despite this, over 21,000 full-time positions remain unfilled, creating a paradoxical market where companies are more selective than ever, searching only for the perfect “best match.” For international jobseekers, the pressure to communicate specific value is higher than ever.
