This live online seminar by JOB POINT Berlin offers help and actionable insights for all originally non-German speaking job seekers.

Hunting for jobs successfully in the ever-changing labor market of Berlin and Brandenburg

The number of unemployed people in Berlin has hardly changed recently. Roughly 193.000 people were registered as unemployed in October, resulting in an unemployment rate of 9.3 percent.

The better news however is that employment agencies and job centers were notified of slightly more vacancies than in the previous month, currently a total of approx. 20.500 in the capital. "We are campaigning for people whose qualifications or language skills are not yet perfect to be offered a job," commented Ramona Schröder, head of the Berlin-Brandenburg regional directorate.

Considering the current state of the job market, applicants regardless of their background are therefore once again requested to realign their job-hunt strategy and activities in order to eventually be successful.

We at JOB POINT Berlin know from our daily consultations with newcomers from all over the world, how this can be achieved. Spoiler alert: Strategic planning and networking, and solid craftsmanship of all job hunting tools and techniques are needed.

Participating is the right thing for you, if you:

  • are currently looking for a job in Berlin or want to apply in the near future
  • want to apply for a position that matches your potential and skillset
  • want to lay the foundation for and/or optimize your application documents
  • are interested in tips and tricks for an effective job hunt in the Berlin metropolitan area

Our experienced hosts will cover all these issues and many more. There will also be an opportunity to address your individual matters directly.

Bonus: Participants of the online seminar “How to find a job in Berlin” (Wednesday, December 13th) are invited to join our exclusive Virtual Consultation Hour on Wednesday, December 20th at 4:00 pm for free and discuss their own challenges and success stories in a constructive and community-minded setting.
