This live online seminar by JOB POINT Berlin offers help and actionable insights for all originally non-German speaking job seekers.
While the economy in Berlin is weakening somewhat, there are still numerous opportunities and possibilities for foreign skilled workers to gain a foothold in the German capital. One reason for this is the new legal regulations that will come into force from June 2024. This initiative offers a clear and accessible solution for your job search in dynamic Berlin. Whether you come from a third country or have acquired your qualifications abroad, the Chancenkarte rewards your skills and makes it easier for you to enter the labour market. If you fulfil the minimum requirements in terms of education, language skills and work experience, the Chancenkarte will be issued for a maximum of one year if you can secure your livelihood for this period. During your stay in Germany, it offers opportunities for trial work or part-time employment for 20 hours a week. If an offer of qualified employment is subsequently received, the Chancenkarte can be extended for a further two years.
Considering all this, applicants regardless of their background are once again challenged to realign their job-hunt strategy and activities in order to eventually be successful.
